What is Ink Dove?

Ink Dove is a web app that lets you design a real, physical postcard on your phone and have it printed and mailed anywhere in the US. You write the message and choose the design; we handle printing, postage, and mailing.

How much does it cost?

A 4×6 postcard costs $1.79 and a 6×9 postcard costs $2.29. The price includes printing, postage, and mailing — there are no extra fees at checkout.

How long does delivery take?

Postcards typically arrive within 5–10 business days of checkout. This includes about 1–2 business days for printing and the rest for USPS First-Class delivery. We'd rather give you an honest range than an optimistic promise.

Where can I send a postcard?

Ink Dove currently mails to any valid street address in the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories served by USPS. International delivery isn't available yet.

Is it really a physical postcard?

Yes. Every order is professionally printed on heavy cardstock and delivered by USPS. It's real mail — the kind that ends up on a fridge, not in an inbox.

Do I need to create an account?

No account is required. You can send a postcard as a guest — we only need a name and email address so we can send you the receipt and order updates. If you'd like to see your past orders later, you can optionally create an account at checkout by adding a password.

Can I use my own photos?

Yes. You can upload photos straight from your phone, including iPhone photos (HEIC files are converted automatically). For the sharpest print, use the largest original photo you have rather than a screenshot or a compressed copy.

Who does the printing and mailing?

Ink Dove partners with PostGrid, a professional print-and-mail provider that handles direct mail for businesses across North America. Your postcard is printed on commercial equipment and entered directly into the USPS mail stream.

Question 9

Can I track my postcard?

Accepted Answer

Postcards are sent via USPS First-Class Mail, which doesn't provide traditional recipient tracking. We'll email you when your order is confirmed, again when PostGrid enters it into production (usually within 2 business days), and once more when USPS records it as delivered. Delivery scans aren't guaranteed for every postcard — some arrive without triggering a scan — but if you don't see a delivery email within 10 business days of the printing email, let us know at hello@inkdove.app.

What if something goes wrong with my order?

If your postcard arrives damaged, doesn't arrive within 14 business days of your order, or the print doesn't match your design, email hello@inkdove.app and we'll refund your order. If you'd rather have it reprinted and remailed instead, we'll do that at no charge — just let us know which you'd prefer.

What happens to my photos and messages?
